Adenovirus particles. AdV are large naked viruses with characteristic fibres projecting from each vertex of their icosahedral capsids. Genome is double stranded DNA. Adenoviruses tend to cause respiratory disease.

Fabulous - when I was first exposed to images of viruses in college microbiology, my jaw dropped. I wondered if these things were some kind of bioengineered invader machines brought to earth bioengineer us by changing our DNA ... of course I didn't share this with my professor ... ha ha.
